Classes

There are several different pieces to the summer program.  Most of the time is spent in classroom like settings where the students learn about a variety of different subjects.  These include:

• Language Arts - Made up of reading and writing skills, these sections begin to prepare the students for college level writing and inquiry skills.
• Strategic Planning - These sections will provide some of the tools necessary to constrict and execute a plan for success in college.
• Achieving Personal Excellence - An academic plan is useful, but these sections will focus on each student's individual goals.
• LEGO Robotics - This section showcases the application of the tools learned in the program.  Students develop their own mechanized LEGO project that revolves around the themes for the summer, using the tools at their disposal.
• Website Design - The ultimate showcase of the program.  Each student develops a website to display the goals they have set for themselves.  The website serves as a constant reminder for the student to keep reaching for success.
